Size Guide for Compression Socks

Instructions for Choosing the Right Size When Buying Compression Socks

When choosing the right size for compression socks, you need to know not only your shoe size, but also your ankle and calf measurements. Use a measuring tape to measure the circumference, and take your measurements first thing in the morning before your legs have had time to swell. Measure around the ankle where it is narrowest and around the calf where it is widest. If you are buying compression tights or stay-ups, you should also measure your thigh where it is widest.

It is important to get the correct measurements to ensure the compression works properly. If you have wide calves, you may in some cases need to choose a larger size. Some brands offer compression socks with extra calf width, and you can see all our wide compression socks here.

This Is How You Measure

Follow the steps below to take the correct measurements for your compression socks. Use a measuring tape and measure directly in the morning, before your legs have swollen, to get the most accurate measurements possible.
